Currently the President and Owner of FRP Equipment / Seawolf Design Wolfgang Unger has over 37 years experience developing innovative products and production systems in the composites industry.

Educated at Flensburg Engineering College, Flensburg Germany with a Masters Degree in Marine Engineering

His main passion is bringing manufacturers to a new level of efficiency and product quality by being able to think outside of the lines of ordinary!

Previous to Seawolf Design, Wolfgang held key design and management position within Glastec, Durable Products, Glidden Corp, and Landreth Industry.

Highlighted Achievements

• Reinforced Plastics Industry Award recipient for syntactic core spray equipment

• Developed No-Roll formula eliminating the air roll out process in spray up laminations.

• Introduced Hydrated Gypsum as a fire retardant in Fiberglass tubs for US Gypsum

• Introduced Franklin Fiber as fiberglass reinforcement

• Developed Seacast™ casting material for replacement of wood in boat construction

• Developed Al-Tool™ High heat tooling compound for molds

• Built concept boat using 30% recycled material with the Swedish Institute of Composites

• Produced first acrylic tub in U.S.

• Design and produced Water feature exhibit for Childrens Museum of Pittsburgh, PA
